Home > Zuni Fetish Carvings

Authentic Zuni fetish carvings, hand made from the finest materials by the finest Zuni artists.

These delightful, small Zuni carvings are made from traditional materials and usually represent the animals of "the six directions". Although of great religious significance and symbolism to Zuni, these carvings are also specially made as collectible art. The very best Zuni carvings are always highly sought after by collectors.

We feature some of the best known artists such as Karen Zunie, Carl Etsate, Ed Lementino and Justin Red Elk. Many of the works are traditional, but many also have a whimsical, contemporary twist.

Favourites among them include the dancing and singing bears by Claudia Peina, the bighorn ram by Ann Quam and rabbits and turtles by Gordon Poncho. The materials they use include antler, picasso marble, dolomite and onyx.

All of our Zuni carvings come from named artists and are bought exclusively from members of the Indian Arts and Crafts Association.
