A bright and cheerful traditionally styled treasure bracelet, designed and hand made by renowned veteran Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo artists James and Doris Coriz. This adorable bracelet consists of gemstones such as blue Kingman turquoise, apple coral, black jet, lapis lazuli, amethyst and sugalite. These treasures are surrounded by pieces of spiny oyster, quahog, mother of pearl, olive shell and more. The whole piece contains 46 beads in all, creating a riot of natural colours in shades of red, green, blue, purple as well as black and white. Wonderful natural shapes are randomly mixed with wedges, torus, discs and hearts to mimic the chaos of a box of treasure. The bracelet is fastened with a cast sterling silver, heart themed, ring and toggle clasp, accented with small silver beads. This is a lovely piece of meaningful and fun jewellery, but which harks back to the oldest traditional forms of Kewa artistry. Once worn it should be treasured and never come off.
