A lovely small traditional heishi choker style necklace, hand made by Kewa artist Daisy Reano, sister of Charlene Reano. The necklace consists of 21 segments of turquoise beads and 20 segments of pipestone (catlinite) beads, beautifully crafted to produce a very attractive piece of American Indian jewellery. The art of Heishi originated with the San Filipe and Santo Domingo (Kewa) Pueblo peoples and indeed it is sometimes referred to as such. This is a gorgeous example of the craft and a very chic necklace for any outfit.
